Vyas Design was founded from a passion for colour, texture and architecture. After 15 years working in corporate and VIP entertainment for premier sports events across the UK, Carolyne Vyas found that she was drawn to the design side of event organising as much as managing teams and making sure people enjoyed themselves. Her journey into property renovation started as a hobby and something she would do for relatives and friends. However, as the spaces she reinvented spoke for themselves, word travelled and soon her skills were in demand by friends of friends and Vyas Design was born.
Having originally studied accounting due to her aptitude for numbers, Carolyne has a unique disposition, combining creative flair with a practical, logistical mindset. Always adhering to a client’s budget, she is proud of the fact that every property she has worked on has increased in market value beyond the total costs incurred. She is also the type of designer who is not afraid to get her hands dirty and fully takes part in any renovation process, working from the ground up rather than only on an aesthetic, surface level.
Growing up in the countryside, Carolyne is greatly inspired by nature and has a particular penchant for earthy tones and textures. She likes to bring a sense of the outdoors indoors and her extensive travels across the world and time living in Antigua have also expanded her imagination and serve as visual reference points. As a designer, she is always happy to share her knowledge, inspiration and refined sense of aesthetics with anyone she works with but ultimately views the design process as a collaboration. She always prioritises the wishes, personal tastes of her clients, then adapting to their lifestyle, she endeavours to make their visions a reality and transforms their property to its full potential in its use of light, space and functionality.
